I'm an editor and journalist with over fifteen years of experience in the industry. I create and shape the content at Nottingham World while looking for the very best stories from our wonderful city. I love being an editor but I also love feature writing, especially when it comes to history, food and drink and also, representing our amazing LGBT+ community. I made Nottingham my home over ten years ago after I moved here from Clonakilty in Ireland. Since then, I have written for publications across the world including Euro News, The Independent, The Stylist and Insider. I'm also an author with my debut non-fiction book on ADHD due in July 2023. I'm working on my second and third book which is about Nottingham's LGBT+ history from 1960 to today. I'm incredibly proud of the diverse work I've been able to produce but my deep dives into Nottingham's rich, and often unusual, history. These often are my favourite pieces. I am fascinated by local history and old architecture which is reflected in my work. My favourite Nottingham places are Five Leaves Bookshop, Broadway Cinema and Sushimania. I live in Nottingham with my partner and a small yet mighty black cat who rules the house.
