Tour of Britain 2023 in Nottingham: Everything you need to know including timings


This year, the Tour of Britain is taking place from 3 - 10 September. The race will travel in eight stages from Altrincham to Caerphilly.
The bicycle race, which takes place over eight days across the country, will be going through Nottingham on the fourth day of the competition.

The multi-day cycling race will start in Nottinghamshire on 6 September. It will leave from Sherwood Forest visitor centre at 11:15am before finishing in Newark-on-Trent at 3:23pm.
While nothing specific has been announced at this time, the Tour of Britain website states spectators will be able to take part in a number of activities on the event green while the race is ongoing.

Will there be car parking?
Spectators who want to watch the race can park in dedicated parking at Sherwood Forest.
The parking will be open until 10:45am, or until it reaches full capacity, at which point it will close until 12pm to ensure safe departure of the race convoy and team vehicles.

Hide AdParking will cost £5 and is payable by cash, card or mobile phone.
A road closure will be in place on Swinecote Road / Church Street from 4am, between the junction with Worksop Road and Mansfield Road / Ollerton Road.
Access will only be available for the spectator parking area, located in the main car park at Sherwood Forest on Swinecote Road. This can be accessed from Worksop Road by a diversion route via Ollerton roundabout.
