Staying up in the Premier League last season, Nottingham Forest are well and truly back on the footballing map.
But, despite the illustrious history of the club and their recent success in the top flight, there are some facts about Forest that might well have escaped you.

1. Nottingham Forest’s City Ground is just 300 yards away from Notts County’s Meadow Lane stadium,

2. Between October 2011 and September 2021, Nottingham Forest managed to go between 18 different managers in the dug-out at the City Ground.

3. Nottingham Forest broke records in the late 1970’s when it came to transfer deals, Forest becoming the first ever club to sign a player for £1 million.
That signing would be Trevor Francis, who would join from Birmingham City in February 1979 for a fee that seemed excessive at the time. It would prove to be a worthwhile investment, Francis scoring in the Champions League final that same year to clinch Forest silverware. 4. The distinctive red strip that many Forest players have pulled on over the years is known as ‘Garibaldi Red’
