A new bar is set to bring the “taste of Ireland” to Nottingham city centre - but it’s not yet known exactly where.

Earlier this week bar chain Katie O’Brien’s, which already has venues in Leicester, Sheffield,  Newcastle and Durham, confirmed that its new Nottingham bar will be opening “very soon”.

The Nottingham bar will join new locations in Birmingham and Leeds, where visitors can expect “live music and great craic”.

Screen live sport, including Premier League and Champions League games, the new bar is set to open at a mystery location in the city centre, which will be announced “soon”.

The bar will host live music every weekend, capturing the atmosphere of Dublin’s Temple Bar neighbourhood.

With a green-clad interior, old whisky barrels as tables, and plenty of Guinness merchandise covering the walls, the bar will provide an authentic Irish experience.

You can claim a free pint of Guinness when the bar opens by signing up here.
