Just over three months to go!

We’re now approaching the end of August and, with that, the end of summer.

In just a few weeks we’ll start seeing the first signs of autumn as the nights draw in and leaves begin falling off trees.

It’s hard to believe that in just over three months it’ll be the start of December and preparations for Christmas will be in full swing.

The final week of August might seem a bit early to start thinking about the festive period, but it’ll be here before we know.

While details haven’t been confirmed for Nottingham’s annual Winter Wonderland this year, we do know for certain that another of the city’s Christmas markets will be returning.

The Nottingham Castle Christmas Market will return on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1.

Last year’s event attracted more than 14,000 people to the castle grounds for a weekend of festive fun.

The market will once again showcase dozens of dozens of Nottinghamshire-based traders and street food.

The bandstand will play host to festive music, with visitors also invited to explore the castle’s galleries and grounds.

Adults can get into the Christmas spirit by enjoying a glass or two of mulled wine from the licensed bar.

Last year’s two-day event was supported by around 40 local traders, who generated more than £70,000 in sales.

The market will be open between 10am and 7pm on November 30 and then between 10am and 4pm on December 1.

Admission to the castle grounds, including the market, will be £1. Visitors with an annual season ticket will not be charged.
