One of Nottingham’s biggest arts venues has made the decision to go entirely plant-based with a new menu. The cafe at New Art Exchange on Gregory Boulevard will host a celebration party to launch the menu on Friday, March 3 from 5 pm until 7 pm.

The event at the Cafebar will feature a plant-based market and cookery demonstrations along with a performance from Nottingham-based music collective, Fat Digester. There will also be a chance to sample the amazing menu inspired by world cuisines. The cafe offers a range of snacks, food, cakes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The market will bring together some of Nottingham’s best-loved local businesses selling everything from food to homewares to gifts. The NAE team will also be collecting food items to donate to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum Food Bank.

The decision comes as part of the commitment that the gallery has made to its environmental responsibility. The NAE recognised that using a plant-based menu would help lower their carbon footprint, decrease greenhouse gas emissions and reduce pollution.

Saad-Edine Said, CEO and Artistic Director of NAE explains the decision to move to 100% Plant-Based in the NAE CafeBar “We are excited to launch our new plant-based cafe, which not only offers a delicious array of flavours and food variety but also reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility. By choosing plant-based options, we can all make a positive impact on our planet while enjoying a unique food and beverage offer in one of the most exciting galleries in Nottingham”.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance through the NAE website.
