A new shop is set to open on the corner building of Goosegate in Hockley across from Ice Nine

A new computer repair shop is set to open on Goosegate as a new sign was unveiled across the doorway. Blue Wolf IT also have a repair shop in Burton Joyce but this will be their first in the city centre.

The shop is owned by Mark Weston who is a computer engineer and Catherine Hodges who will be the new manager. The team have built up a successful computer business but they needed bigger premises. The new shop will focus on retail and repairs. Three or four staff members will move across with the business with the potential for more joining in the future.

“We currently have a Blue Wolf IT in Burton Joyce but we needed bigger premises. We like Hockley as its a nice place so that's why we chose to go there.”

“We have a lot of business in Burton Joyce that we support and customers will keep coming to us. We may just have the one in the city centre which will keep us occupied.”

“We will be selling computers, laptops and accessories but we also plan to repair computers and devices as well. The shop will be downstairs while the repairs will take place upstairs along with offices.”

The shop was once home to Love Photography but has been closed for a few years which has meant repairs needed to be done to make it ready to open. The shop will be given a makeover with new signage, graffiti-inspired back walls and hand-painted signage which fits with its Hockley location.

“We aren’t ready to open yet as there was quite a bit of work involved in getting ready to go. We were meant to be open next week but it may be postponed until the week after. It should be ready by the end of July,” Mark told Nottingham World.
