Viet 80s

Take yourself along to this family-run restaurant on Friar Lane to have a taste of some authentic Vietnamese cuisine with traditional dishes cooked with fresh ingredients, bursting with genuine South-East Asian flavours that will make your mouth water. Be sure to visit on Wednesday, April 26 for a 20 per cent discount in celebration of their 2nd Grand Opening Anniversary.

Wonder Pho

Opening their doors last year on Thurland Street, Wonder Pho offers a huge menu that caters to all. Jade, a server at the family-run business, said: “More and more people know about Vietnamese food now, it is very healthy, and everything here is fresh and made daily.”

“It is how people like to eat now, and we now have vegetarian and vegan options for everyone.”

Wonder Pho celebrates Vietnamese culture and the vibrancy of their cuisine, ensuring good value and tasty food.

Boulangerie de Saigon

A café located in Sneinton Avenues is combining classic Vietnamese recipes with modern treats, just recently opening its doors and offering incredible in-house baked macaroons with a Vietnamese twist and the traditional cuisine bánh mì, a fresh and crispy baguette stuffed to the brim with fillings. Take a trip over to this independent café and you will not be disappointed by the unique and tasty menu.

Pho

Pho began back in 2005 when Stephen and Juliette Wall opened their Vietnamese street food restaurant after falling in love with the cuisine on their travels. It has since boomed into a chain of restaurants, with over thirty now dotted across the country. Offering a wide menu, including the traditional ‘Pho’ dish, with meaty, vegetarian and vegan options, this Hockley-based chain restaurant is one to visit.

Coco Tang Café

If you fancy trying a cup of authentic Vietnamese coffee, then Coco Tang is the place to go. Following recipes from a Vietnamese background, Coco Tang offers plates on a smaller menu whilst placing you at the centre of a Vietnamese-style outdoor roof garden amongst tropical trees with some incredible murals dedicated to those living a different lifestyle in Vietnam.
