Why ‘hidden gem’ Nottinghamshire farm shop serving ‘banging’ breakfasts is a must-visit this spring
Customers have raved about the farm shop’s fry-ups
Spring is a busy time for the farms of Nottinghamshire, with crop planting and livestock management gathering pace as the season progresses.
We often associate spring as a time of renewal, and that can extend to making decisions to improve our lives.
Eating ‘clean’ food has become more and more popular in recent years, with many of us choosing to cut out processed products from our diets.
When shopping at big supermarkets we can’t always be sure of where our food comes from or even its quality, which is why farm shops have made something of a comeback over the past decade.
As the name suggests, many farm shops source the majority of their products from nearby farms or other local businesses.
It’s often the case that farm shops sell produce grown on their own farms, only increasing its quality.
Nottinghamshire is packed with amazing farm shops, but we think one in particular is worth shouting about this summer.
Why you should visit Trinity Farm Shop in Cossall during spring 2026
Located in Cossall, near Ilkeston, Trinity Farm Shop has been going strong since 1990.
Committed to selling the highest quality organic produce, much of the shop’s stock comes directly from the neighbouring farm.
The farm’s pledge not to use harmful chemicals or pesticides on its fields means consumers can be sure that the fruit and veg on sale has been grown the way nature intended.

What’s more, customers can enjoy a relaxing drink or light bite inside the farm shop’s on-site café, which has recently reopened following a fire in 2023.
Offering beautiful views over the countryside, the café sells tasty bites including scones, pastries and tarts, alongside breakfasts that recent customers have described as “banging”.
Green-fingered customers can browse the large selection of plants, flowers and shrubs on offer at the nursery.
A recent visitor told Google reviews: “This is a wonderful farm shop with a fantastic selection of organic fruit, vegetables, and plenty of other quality food products.

“The Wollaton honey they sell is a favourite of ours. It’s also a perfect spot for families —with a chance to feed the chickens and sheep. The café is a lovely, relaxing place to unwind.”
The farm shop is open between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Saturday and 9.30am and 4pm on Sundays.
