Southwell based jewellery boutique wins national jeweller award
Owner Rebecca Gibbions was delighted about this victory and told us it’s topped off a great year in the new store. Last Night I Dreamt have been in business for eight years but last October moved a few doors down the road to 1 King Street to a bigger space.
Rebecca said: “It’s our first national award. We’ve been finalists in the big retail jewellery awards for several years now and never won.

“I’m just really really happy. It is the biggest compliment because you realise that you’ve got a really loyal base of people supporting you.”
The boutique stocks a range of jewellery brands and have just launched a piercing studio. They will also be starting their own in store workshops in September.
Rebecca added: “What I think stands out about Last Night I Dreamt in the country is that a lot of jewellers are much more traditional and less contemporary. We try to pull together the very best British and international designers that you can get in lots of places like Liberties in London and we’ve pulled them under one roof.

The jewellers are also finalists in several categories in the Retail Jewellery Awards for 2023 which will be announced in September. Although located in Southwell, customers are drawn from all over the county and country to visit the shop.
Rebecca told us how much she loved being in Southwell, as a vibrant small town that people all over Nottinghamshire visit for a day out. And the beautiful store adds to this liveliness with beautiful floral décor and neon lighting.
Rebecca said: “We’ve just had the best year in our new location. I feel like winning something like the Muddy Stiletto awards puts that stamp on it that we are doing something right, and we have found the right formula of what people want right now in shopping.
“We offer a really personal service, people feel like they know us from our Instagram, they are connected with us and very loyal.”
