Should sites meet the required standard for each factor, they are awarded a Blue Flag for one year.
Blue Flags are only presented to beaches with water which has achieved the highest classification as set by the EU Bathing Water Directive.
Hundreds of beaches and marinas have been awarded a Blue Flag for 2025, including three on the Lincolnshire coast.
