I'm a 20-year-old journalism student at Nottingham Trent University in my second year now.
The two areas of specific journalism are sport and politics. I've always been a big football fan and that's what got me started in sports journalism after writing for Vavel, The Non-League Paper and recently doing Audio Description commentary at Mansfield Town for people who are visually impaired with Alan March Sport.
My interest in politics came after being a news fanatic during lockdown and the pandemic and was added to after a trip to Westminster with the course in 2023.
My other sporting interests are ice hockey, rugby and professional wrestling - I've been training to wrestle myself since last June and expect to have my first match this June 2023.
My local team is Rochdale FC, but I've loved West Ham United ever since I started watching football - so nobody can accuse me of being a glory hunter.
Other experience in the industry has been with the student magazine, Platform, as a writer and the Editor and President for my final year at university, a radio show on Saturday night on the student radio Fly Live and at the Newark Advertiser writing on sport and news.
Originally I'm from Rochdale, Lancashire, but for most of the year I live in Nottingham City Centre for university.
I'm a big fan of travelling and will be flying to Canada for July to do a month podcasting course and it'll be the first time I travel alone, it hopefully will be a great experience.
