Nottingham Puppet Festival's full schedule includes a 'dramatic battle between gods and demons'

The full schedule for Nottingham Puppet Festival’s City Centre Day on Saturday (April 13) has been released. 

The packed schedule will see Nottingham taken over by puppets, with free events and performances across the city.

Between 11am and 4pm, the city will come alive with different puppets and extravagant costumes as the festival returns for its third year.

The story is brought to life by two 12-foot puppets, who interact with audiences as they make their way towards a climactic confrontation.

Another highlight of the City Centre Day looks set to be the Laura Mathews Flying Puppets Exhibition inside Nottingham Central Library until 6pm.

First launched in 2018, the festival aims to tell stories through puppets “in a way that reality can’t”. 

Other events taking place between April 9 and April 21 include puppet workshops at the Royal Concert Hall and a screening of The Muppet Movie at Broadway Cinema.
