It’s fair to say we’re a little bit obsessed with Channel 4’s Hunted. After all, it’s the ultimate grown-up game of hide and seek!
With the latest series (Season 7) currently underway on Channel 4, and with two Nottingham contestants trying their hands at outsmarting the Hunters, it got us thinking.
Where would we hide, in Nottingham if we were trying to evade some of London’s top cops?
The name of the game is not to get caught, so we want to keep things as cheap and unsuspecting as possible.
We thought tapping up the council and getting access to some of the city’s caves would be a good place to start but you (clever clogs) had some other ideas.
Here are 12 clever hiding spots in and around Nottingham that you think would leave the Hunters scratching their heads.

1. Inside A&E
It's so secret that Queen's Medical Centre is very busy, so several readers suggested it could be a great place to hide. Not to mention the fact the corridors can often be difficult to navigate. (For the record, hiding in the hospital is not ethical and we would not recommend it!)
2. In the underworld
The catacombs beneath Nottingham's Rock Cemetery were also a popular hiding spot suggestion. They aren't open to the public apart from during select tours, so you'd need to be especially clever to get down there! Photo: Nottingham World
3. Escape in style
One reader suggested hiding out in style at Bestwood Lodge. The lovely hotel is surrounded by plush woodlands and has plenty of places to run if you need to evade the Hunters. We think this is a pretty good suggestion.
4. Take me to the River
Another reader suggested there are many secluded spots along the River Trent to hide from the Hunters. A bonus to this is you'll be able to follow the course of the river, so you'll never get lost. A downside, you might get wet if the banks break. Photo: Richard Croft
