Notts County is widely regarded as a football club with a rich history.
Formed on 28th November 1862, Notts County is the oldest professional football club in the world.
The club is often considered to be one of the pioneers of the modern game.

1. Rivals Nottingham Forest have even used Meadow Lane as a hub for their home matches.
Specifically during the 1945-46 season when the River Trent flooded and further in 1968 after a fire caused significant damage to Forest’s City Ground. Photo: Eddie Keogh

2. Notts County haven’t always played their home matches at the historical Meadow Lane, the Magpies not moving into their home until 1910.

3. Notts County have a very unique relationship with Italian giants Juventus, with Juventus adopting black and white stripes on their shirts after being inspired by the Magpies and citing the colour combo as ‘aggressive’.
This coincided with a friendly match between the two sides in 2011 to commemorate their connection, Juventus moving into a new ground. Notts County would draw 1-1 with the Series A club on the night, opening the brand-new Juventus Stadium. | Getty Images

4. Notts County’s last major trophy success before this year’s National League Playoff Final triumph came all the way back in 1894 when the Magpies lifted the FA Cup.
