Earlier this week marked the 50th anniversary since legendary Nottingham Forest manager Brian Clough joined the club.
On January 6, 1975, Clough joined the Reds following a disastrous stint at Leeds United, where he failed to match the levels reached by Don Revie.
Just four years after he took over the helm at the City Ground, Clough had led Forest to the first of two back-to-back European Cups.
Clough eventually left Forest in 1993 after 18 years of unprecedented success, in which he would become one of the greatest British managers in football history.
But it wasn’t just Clough’s achievements on the pitch that set him apart from his peers.
