Nottingham jobs: Opening date confirmed for Wickes store Nottingham

The opening date for a new Wickes store in Long Eaton has been confirmed. 

According to the company’s website, the new store in Nottingham Road will open to customers on Friday, March 22. 

Plans for the new hardware store were approved in November 2022 after an initial application was refused in October 2019.

According to the planning application, the store will have ground floor space of 20,110 sq ft. 

A new Lidl store was approved at the same time, although an opening date has not yet been confirmed. 

There will be a total of 218 parking spaces across the site, including 12 disabled spaces. 

Wickes is currently recruiting staff for the new Long Eaton store. 

The company is looking to hire full-time Customer Service Assistants, with an hourly rate of £10.42.
