A Nottinghamshire service station is one of the worst in the UK, according to new research.

Consumer site Which? has named Trowell Services on the M1 towards the bottom of its ‘Best motorway services in the UK 2025’ rankings.

The 90 service stations included in the rankings were assessed by members of the public on several factors, including facilities, cleanliness and prices.

Trowell Services recorded an overall customer satisfaction rating of just 41% across the areas assessed.

The lowest-rated service station, Bridgwater on the M5, earned just a 23% overall rating.

Gloucester Services was the highest-ranked site on the list, boasting an impressive 85% customer rating.
