Newark Homebase to close and become Sainsbury’s as part of handover deal
A Nottinghamshire Homebase store is to close and become a Sainsbury’s as part of a multimillion-pound handover deal.

Hide AdThe store, at the Northgate Retail Park in Newark, will be one of 10 purchased by Sainsbury’s and converted into a supermarket at the end of the month.
The deal is anticipated to create around 1,000 jobs.
The addition of new locations means nearly 400,000 more people will be within a 10-minute drive of a Sainsbury’s supermarket.
Other Homebase stores include Lowestoft, Bromsgrove and Cromer.

Hide AdSainsbury’s aims to complete the conversion of all sites by the end of 2025.
