Fish and chips is considered the ultimate classic British cuisine, with millions regularly heading to their local takeaways to indulge in the comfort food.

But what makes a ‘chippy’ outstanding? Many foodies will agree that the perfect chips have to be golden on the outside, while light and fluffy on the inside. The fish needs to be flaky and succulent, with a light and crispy batter. A sprinkling of salt and vinegar is often crucial to finish off the indulgent feast.

If you’re looking for the best fish and chip shops in Nottingham, look no further, as we’ve compiled a list of the 10 best eateries in the area, according to Tripadvisor reviews.
