A man who was stabbed to death during a series of connected van and knife attacks in Nottingham has been named.
School trust executives have paid tribute to their “much-loved” colleague Ian Coates.

Hide AdMr Coates, who was in his 50s, was found fatally stabbed by a member of the public on Magdala Road on Tuesday June 13.
He worked as a school caretaker and was the school site manager at Huntingdon Academy in St Ann’s.
Ross Middleton, executive headteacher at Huntingdon Academy, said: “Ian was a much-loved colleague who always went the extra mile for the benefit of our children and will be greatly missed.
“As a school community, it will take time to process this deeply upsetting news.

Barnaby Webber, 19, and Grace Kumar, 19, who were both students at the University of Nottingham, have been named as the other two victims.
Nottinghamshire Police believe a van was stolen from Mr Coates and driven into three pedestrians on Milton Street at around 5.30am on Tuesday, which has left one man in critical condition.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Diana Owen, chief executive of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, which runs the school, said: “I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear about this tragic news.
“Ian was a beloved and respected member of the Huntingdon Academy staff. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this extremely sad time.”
