Although the dates for this year’s festival have not yet been confirmed, last week organisers teased its return this summer with a social media post.

The post, which simply read ‘Riverside Festival 2024 anyone…?’, was enough to attract hundreds of likes and dozens of comments from those already looking forward to this summer.

Users were soon to share their excitement for this year’s event.

Chris said: “Loved it last year, much better than the Goose Fair. Can’t wait.”

Debbie added: “Yessssss! Even though it was like the rain apocalypse last year I still loved it.”

Last year, visitors were treated to two ten-minute fireworks displays over the three-day festival.

Dozens of musical acts kept the crowds entertained, with genres ranging from folk to electronic.

As usual, this year’s festival is expected to showcase an array of mouthwatering street food dishes, with previous festivals offering dishes from around the world.

Since its inception in 1973, the Riverside Festival has become the biggest free family festival in the East Midlands.

Alongside the Goose Fair and Nottingham Beach, the festival is one of the city’s most popular annual events.
