There is nothing we love more in Nottingham than a nice cup of hot coffee it seems. This is of course evident in how many amazing coffee brands call the city home and also, the sheer number of cafes we have. So it seems only natural that we would host an independent coffee festival which has bean a huge success in previous years.

Nottingham's independent Coffee Festival brings together the best in baristas, cafe owners, industry professionals and excellent cuppas under one roof. This year is set to welcome over 1000 people who want to meet roasters and baristas, learn and sample the very best in all things coffee. The festival has over 40 vendors all under the impressive roof of st Mary's church in Hockley.

There will also be a chance to give latte art a go if you have ever watched a barista create a masterpiece and thought you could do it better. Although, they do make what is a difficult skill look incredibly easy.

For those who like something a little bit stronger, there will be a few caffeine-based cocktails on offer. Drink industry experts Ron Colón Salvadoreño will be in attendance serving up their delicious range of rum-based coffee cocktails.

When it comes to talent that Nottingham has home-brewed, 200 Degrees are official partners of the event and Stewarts of Trent Bridge will also be providing their beautiful roasts. Tough Mary’s Bakehouse will also be joining along with Cartwheel Coffee Roasters.

There will be many workshops to attend across the day from latte art, milk steaming, pour-over, cupping and learning the differences between a cappuccino and a cortado. If you haven’t had a cortado before, now is your chance to try the Spanish beverage.
