Nottingham-born England goalkeeper Mary Earps has had one of the city’s trams named after her.

Nottingham’s 37 trams are each named after notable local figures, such as Brian Clough, Carl Froch and Vicky McClure.

Earps has made 47 caps for England since her debut in 2017 and has been shortlisted for this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

She began playing for West Bridgford Colts as a youngster, before joining Leicester City.

Earps was joined by players from her childhood club during the unveiling ceremony.
