It was an awful night for the Conservatives in Nottingham as the city’s three seats went to Labour. 

The Tories’ woes in Nottingham contributed to the party’s grim evening overall, with the party claiming just 119 seats across the UK.

Labour’s landslide victory saw Sir Keir Starmer’s party winning 410 seats - an increase of 209 since 2019. 

Nottingham is now fully red, with the Conservatives picking up just one seat, Newark, in the entire county.
