We’ve picked out five business openings in the Nottingham area happening over the summer.

Big Fang Collective

Back in April, Big Fang Collective announced plans to launch three new multi-concept destinations in London, Bristol, and Nottingham later this year.

Big Fang Collective already operates six sites around the UK, employing more than 260 people, with each of the venues offering a combination of crazy golf, DJs, and signature cocktails.

Although it’s not yet known where the new Big Fang complex will be, it’s set to open this summer at some point.

Roxy Lanes

Unlike Big Fang Collective, we’ve got plenty of details about Nottingham’s new Roxy Lanes entertainment centre, which is opening within a matter of weeks.

The new venue will be located on the ground floor of The Pod, next to the Lace Market tram stop.

After its grand opening on Friday, June 28, Roxy Lanes will offer activities including ten-pin bowling, ice-free curling and pool.

By the time you’ve read this, the Adventures activities centre at King’s Mill Reservoir, near Sutton-in-Ashfield, may have already opened.

The centre will start welcoming thrill-seekers from Saturday, May 25.

Adventures’ marquee attraction is the 100-metre zipwire, where thrill seekers can soar through the air at break-neck speeds.

There is also a High Treks course, where visitors will be able to navigate suspended obstacles 10-metres above the ground.

Katie O’Brien’s Irish bar

Katie O’Brien’s Irish bar is set to bring the “taste of Ireland” to Nottingham when it opens this summer.

Screening live sport, including Premier League and Champions League games, the new bar is set to open at a mystery location in the city centre, which will be announced “soon”.

With a green-clad interior, old whisky barrels as tables, and plenty of Guinness merchandise covering the walls, the bar will provide an authentic Irish experience.

The bar’s social media page says it will open “very soon”.
