Exclusive: We find out Vicky McClure’s top 3 favourite things about Nottingham

It’s hard to disagree with Vicky’s choices

Regardless of where you’re from in the country, it’s always a proud moment to see someone from your area doing well in the public eye.

When it comes to Nottingham folk flying the flag for our city on the national stage, they don’t come much bigger than Vicky McClure.

The Wollaton-born actress, best known for roles in This Is England and Line of Duty, is always flying the flag for Nottingham wherever she goes.

From her work with the amazing Dementia Choir to surprise appearances at the Splendour and Gloworm festivals, Vicky has always stayed true to her roots.

Nottingham through and through, Vicky is always good value when it comes to talking about her home city.

Earlier this month we at Nottingham World were lucky enough to be able to put a few questions to Vicky surrounding the city she calls home.

These included asking Vicky about her favourite Nottingham restaurants and most-used local phrases.

Vicky’s love for Nottingham can never be called into question, so we thought we’d ask her a pretty challenging question about her home city.

Here’s how it went.

Nottingham World: Vicky, if you had to choose your top three favourite things about Nottingham, what would they be?”

Vicky McClure: “The people. The Dementia Choir. Trent Bridge and the amazing sports grounds around it.”

It’s hard to disagree with Vicky’s choices, particularly the amazing Dementia Choir, which recently performed at the City Ground.
