If you’re a person of culture, then Nottingham should be high up on your list of places to move to.
With a thriving food and drink scene, fantastic live music venues and so many fascinating historic sites, it’s fair to say that Nottingham is a cultural melting pot.
Over the years, a few of the city’s neighbourhoods have earned a reputation for being trendy places to live.
The Lace Market, for instance, is surrounded by great bars and restaurants in the heart of the city.
But as we head into 2025, which parts of Nottingham are really the trendiest to live in?
Here at Nottingham World we’ve done some digging and come up with a list of what we think are the trendiest parts of the city this year.
Whether you’re a young couple looking to buy your first home or are recently retired and looking for somewhere with peace and quiet, we’re sure you’ll find somewhere you like.

5. Adams Hill
Backing on to Wollaton Park, Adams Hill is undoubtedly one of the trendiest Nottingham neighbourhoods. With house prices often reaching the million pound mark, this lucrative part of the city is reserved only for the wealthy. | Savills Photo: Savills

6. Colwick
The village of Colwick, just east of Nottingham, is perfect for those looking for somewhere with a chilled out vibe away from the city centre. With Colwick Country Park just a short walk from the village, it's easy to see why you'd want to move here! | Chris Morgan Photo: Chris Morgan

7. Sneinton
For some, Sneinton's inclusion in this list might come as a bit of a surprise. But Sneinton is actually a much cooler place to live than some give it credit for. Residents here live within walking distance of the bustling Sneinton Market, where all kinds of artisan food products can be purchased. Sneinton is also within walking distance of The Lace Market, which in itself is a very cool place to call home! | John Sutton Photo: John Sutton

8. Wollaton
You didn't think we could end this list without mentioning Wollaton, did you? The fact that the one and only Vicky McClure comes from Wollaton automatically makes this area a cool place to live. But of course there's much more to Wollaton than that. With great local pubs and restaurants and the stunning Wollaton Park, you'd be mad not to consider moving to Wollaton in 2025. | Ceca2403 Photo: Ceca2403
