The new shop is located on a quiet stretch of road in Hockley which connects the lower end of the busy area to Sneinton Market. The premises has been given a makeover ready for opening with a new black paint job and vibrant yellow signage.

The Vape Spot NG1 has yet to announce when it is due to open but it joins other businesses on the street such as Grillz 4 U, City Arts and Kofuku cafe. There are a number of empty properties on the street which have been vacant for some time. It is hoped that the new business will increase footfall into the area.

In recent months, COW Vintage also set up a large thift clothing store taking over the ground floor. The popular clothing brand already has two stores in the city in Carlton Street and Exchange Arcade making this its third city centre location.

Residents commented on the new shop and many were pleased to see the vacant premises occupied.

“I live locally to it and its nice to see something new going into the area. There isn’t really much here so its good that an empty premises has been taken over,” said Rebecca Jennings from Sneinton.

“As a vaper, I enjoy having access to as many flavours as possible so I’m excited to hear there’s a new vape shop in my favourite part of Nottingham. Can’t wait to see what flavours they have in Hockley,” said Richard Gemini from Colwick.

They're a bit of a pantomime aren't they...appear in a puff of smoke, are all shiny and appeal to all ages. Are they heroes or villains though? I'm not sure. I suppose it's good to have the shop occupied either way,” said Dave Alcock also from Sneinton.
