The Plough at Normanton has been crowned the best of the best in the National Pub & Bar Awards 2024.

Hide AdEach year the award crowns the best pub or bar from nearly 100 counties across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
In the East Midlands, The Plough scored the top spot for Nottinghamshire, while other nearby winners included The Railway in Belper, Derbyshire and The Forge Inn, Leicestershire.
The Plough at Normanton is highly regarded by locals and visitors alike who praise the food, service, and friendly atmosphere.

Hide AdThe pretty ivy-clad pub is located on Old Melton Road in Normanton-on-the-Wolds, and has been described by a punter as “first-class every time”.
It is rated four out of five stars on TripAdvisor and has more than 220 top-tier reviews.
Jennifer H said: “Excellent food and service. Visited for birthday celebrations. Great atmosphere, high-quality food, and set at a reasonable price point.”

It offers a happy hour deal from 4pm-7pm on Wednesdays through to Fridays where pints cost just £3.50.
It also hosts several fun events including the upcoming tribute night, which includes a BBQ and performances from an ABBA tribute act.
Menu highlights include epic Sunday roasts, pimped-up pub grub such as halloumi burger and flat iron steak and decadent desserts such as banana parfait.
