First look as Nottingham city centre bistro lounge PNKS prepares to open

PNKS bistro lounge is set to open its doors on Friday August 25

The restaurant is ready to go and kitted out with pink and gold furniture and Nottingham World was invited for a sneak peek of what the store has to offer.

It will open from 12pm on Friday, August 25 serving smash burgers, milkshakes, loaded fries, short ribs and mac and cheese which will all have their own twist and will be halal. They will be offering a delivery and collection service as well as dining in.

The Wollaton Street eatery is a pink heaven, with a flower wall, a love heart selfie spot and marble tables.

Owner and head chef Ash Biggs wanted to stand out from the crowd, hence his choice of colours. And the pink theme goes further than just the décor, they will also be serving the burgers in pink buns as well as having pink house sauces.

He said: “We are the boujee-est place in Nottingham. We are trying to stick out.” And their interior does just that.

Ash has spent time making sure everything is perfect but is relying on his food to do the talking. His cooking has been inspired by his Grandma, and he is intending to bring a Caribbean touch to the menu.

The venue has 19 seats for eating in and is open to everyone, students and families alike. It will be open seven days a week from 11am to midnight.
