Work has begun to transform Nottingham’s Old Market Square into this year’s Winter Wonderland.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that the annual event will begin on Wednesday, November 13.
While further details have not yet been announced, it’s likely that the city centre festivities will end on Tuesday, December 31.
Last year’s Winter Wonderland saw Old Market Square transformed into a festive paradise for almost eight weeks, which was the longest in the event’s history.
Organisers Mellors Group have so far remained tight-lipped about the event, but familiar favourites including the observation wheel and large Christmas tree are expected to return.
On Monday, October 14, Nottingham World visited Old Market Square to see how work to transform the square was coming along.
Below are 11 photos of the construction work taking place.
