New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 9 of Nottingham eateries, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

We all know Nottingham has got some awesome places to eat, from Michelin-starred restaurants to cool and quirky cafes. We are spoilt for choice!

And apparently, we're spoiled for choice when it comes to cleanliness too, with new food hygiene ratings being awarded to nine Notts restaurants this month.

And what an award season it has been with all nine eateries receiving top marks from the Food Standards Agency.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Karak Chaii at 135-137 Radford Road, Nottingham; rated on October 24

• Rated 5: Chaiiwala at 64 Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham; rated on October 23

And five ratings have been handed to takeaways:
