Rushcliffe road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Rushcliffe's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 8pm January 29 to 6am February 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• A52, from 6pm December 21 2023 to midnight, March 31 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Gamston to Radcliffe On Trent, Speed restriction due to likelihood of danger.

And a further nine closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A52, from 8pm February 12 to 6am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 westbound, Radcliffe on Trent, Lane closure due to works on behalf of National Grid.

• A453, from 8pm February 12 to 5am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A453 northbound, Barton in Fabis to Mill Hill roundabout, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• A46, from 8pm February 12 to 6am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 southbound, Bingham Island to Saxondale Island, Lane closures for electrical works.

• A52, from 8pm February 13 to 6am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound, Queens Drive to Nottingham Knight Island, Lane closures for electrical works.

• A46, from 8pm February 13 to 6am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 northbound, East Bridgeford, slip road closures due to electrical works.

• A46, from 8pm February 14 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 northbound, Stragglethorpe junction, slip road closures for electrical works, diversion route via National Highways network and local authority network.

• M1, from 8pm February 15 to 5am February 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 22 to, junction 23, Lane closure due to barrier repairs.

• A453, from 8pm February 15 to 5am February 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A453 northbound, Millhill, Lane closures due to electrical works.

• A52, from 8pm February 16 to 5am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 Radcliffe on Trent, traffic signals on behalf of BT.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
