Road closures: six for Rushcliffe drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rushcliffe will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Rushcliffe will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A52, from 6pm December 21 2023 to midnight, March 31 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Gamston to Radcliffe On Trent, Speed restriction due to likelihood of danger.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M1, from 8pm February 26 to 5am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 22 to junction 23, Lane closures for safety repair works.

A453, from 7pm February 27 to 6am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound, Clifton Bridge to Nottingham Knight, carriageway, layby and lane closure due to maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network and local authority network.

A52, from 8pm February 27 to 6am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bingham to Barrowby, mobile lane closures due to horticultural works.

A453, from 8pm February 28 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A453 northbound, Mill Hill, Lane closure due to maintenance works.

A52, from 8pm February 29 to 5am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Gamston, Lane closures due to maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
