Road closures: eight for Broxtowe drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Broxtowe will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A52, from 8am to 6pm on November 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Sherwin arms roundabout to Priory roundabout, diversion via National Highways network for work on local authority network.

• A52, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 25 to junction 26, slip road and lane closures due to maintenance works, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• A52, from 8pm November 20 to 5am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound, Bramcote to Priory roundabout, Lane closures for drainage works.

• A52, from 8pm November 23 to 6am November 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 Priory Roundabout, Lane closure due to works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

• M1, from 8pm November 23 to 5am November 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 25 to junction 24a, Lane closure due to maintenance works.

• M1, from 8pm November 27 to 6am November 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 26 to junction 27, Lane closure due to maintenance work.

• A52, from 8pm November 29 to 5am November 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 westbound, Bramcote, Lane closure due to maintenance work.

• M1, from 8pm December 4 to 6am December 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, Trowell services to junction 27, Lane closures for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
