Nottingham road closures: nine for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Nottingham's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A453, from 8pm May 15 to 6am June 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52/A453 eastbound and westbound and northbound and southbound, Dunkirk to Nottingham Knight roundabout, carriageway, slip roads and lane closures due to maintenance work, diversion via national Highways and local authority network.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A52, from 8pm May 30 to 6am May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bramcote to QMC, Lane closures due to maintenance works.

• A52, from 8pm June 3 to 6am June 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Priory roundabout to QMC roundabout, carriageway and lane closures due to maintenance work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• M1, from 9am to 3pm on June 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 27, Hard shoulder closure for maintenance works.

• A52, from 7pm June 5 to 6am June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bramcote, Lane closure due to works on behalf of BT.

• A453, from 8pm June 7 to 6am June 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A453 southbound, Clifton, lane closure due to works being undertaken on before of EE.

• A453, from 8pm June 7 to 6am June 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A52 eastbound, Queens Drive, junction to Clifton Lane, carriageway, slip road and lane closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network and local authority network.

• A453, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A453 northbound and southbound, Ratcliffe on Soar to Crusader Roundabout, Lane closures due to cyclical maintenance.

• A52, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 westbound, Dunkirk, slip road and lane closure due to maintenance work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
