Nottingham road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Nottingham's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A453, from 8pm April 3 to 6am April 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, QMC roundabout to Wheatcroft roundabout, carriageway, slip road and lane closures due to maintenance works, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• M1, from midday, to 2.30pm on April 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 27, hard shoulder closure due to works on behalf of HW Martin.

• A453, from 8pm to 11.30pm on April 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A453 southbound, Green Lane roundabout, Lane closure for electrical works.

• A453, from 8pm March 9 to 6am April 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Nottingham Knight to QMC junction, carriageway, slip road and lane closure due to works on behalf of National Highways, diversion via National Highways network and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
