Broxtowe's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Broxtowe's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M1, from 8.30am to 3pm on April 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 26, Hard shoulder closure for maintenance works.

A52, from 8pm April 12 to 6am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, Trowell to junction 27, slip road and lane closures due to maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network and local authority network.

M1, from 8pm March 20 to 6am June 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 25 to junction 26, Lane closures due to maintenance work.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M1, from midday, to 2.30pm on April 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 27, hard shoulder closure due to works on behalf of HW Martin.

A38, from 8pm April 17 to 6am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 26 to junction 28, slip road and lane closures due to maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network and local authority network.

A52, from 8pm April 22 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bardills to Bramcote, Lane closure due to survey works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
