Broxtowe road closures: eight for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Broxtowe's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Broxtowe's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M1, from 8pm March 20 to 6am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 25 to junction 26, Lane closures due to maintenance work.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A52, from 8pm May 30 to 6am May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bramcote to QMC, Lane closures due to maintenance works.

M1, from 9am to 3pm on June 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 27, Hard shoulder closure for maintenance works.

A52, from 7pm June 5 to 6am June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bramcote, Lane closure due to works on behalf of BT.

M1, from 8pm June 8 to 6am June 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 26, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

A453, from 8pm June 9 to 6am June 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A453 northbound and southbound, Ratcliffe on Soar to Crusader Roundabout, Lane closures due to cyclical maintenance.

A52, from 8pm June 12 to 6am June 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound, Bramcote roundabout to Priory roundabout, Lane closures due to maintenance works.

A52, from 8pm June 12 to 6am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 westbound, Bramcote, Lane closure on behalf of BT.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
