Drivers in and around Bassetlaw will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A1, from 8pm December 8 2023 to 6am March 2 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound and southbound, North Muskham to Apleyhead, slip road, lane and lay-by closures for barrier repairs, diversion via national highways and local authority network.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A1, from 8pm February 15 to 6am February 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M southbound, junction 35 to junction 34, Lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance works.

A1(M), from 9pm February 19 to 5am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 34 to junction 35, Lane closure for general cleaning and maintenance.

A1, from 8pm February 22 to 5am February 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1 northbound, Markham Moor, slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National Highways network and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
