Watch some of your favourite fairytales come to life with a hilarious Panto twist!

It's officially Panto season (oh no it isn't!) and we can't wait to get stuck into some classic theatrical fun.

From shouting audiences to colourful costumes and celebs from the telly taking to the stage, there's nothing quite like a Christmas pantomime to get us into the festive spirit.

And luckily for us, there are more than a few pantos happening in Nottingham this Christmas from Dick Whittington (thigh slap) and his cat at the Theatre Royal to Cinderella at The Playhouse.

Dick Whittington at the Theatre Royal

A star-studded cast will be taking to the stage at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham this panto season for this year's adaptation of Dick Whittington and his cat.

TV legend and Panto favourite Shane Richie will lead the cast in this fun-filled panto also featuring TV doctor and children's BAFTA winner Dr Ranj as the Spirit of the Bells and panto dame extraordinaire Iain Stuart Robinson as Sarah the Cook.

This thigh-slapping story follows Dick Whittington on his journey to find fame and fortune. Can he outwit the evil Queen Rat and her team of revolting rodents? Find out at the Theatre Royal this Christmas.

Panto starts on 9th December and runs until 14th January 2024. Tickets are available here.

Cinderella at The Playhouse

Polish your glass slippers and line up your pumpkins for you SHALL go to the ball. The Playhouse's legendary Panto returns in 2023 with the most enchanting story of them all, Cinderella.

Get ready to boo the Ugly Sisters, swoon over Prince Charming and marvel at the magical Fairy Godmother. The Playhouse delivers a touch of fabulous glamour and glitz from panto dame John Elkington.

There will be live music, dazzling dances and comedic chaos as this fun-filled fairytale is brought to life.

Beauty and the Beast at Bingham Arena

Billed as the ultimate family Pantomime, Beauty and the Beast is a tale as old as time.

When the arrogant Prince Fernando is cursed to live as a hideous Beast and banished to his castle, his only hope is to find true love before the last petal falls.

This adaptation of J.M Barrie's much-loved tale will fly into the Motorpoint arena this winter for a spectacular spin on a timeless classic.

The show boasts a stellar cast with Boy George debuting as Captain Hook! Boy George said: "I'm really looking forward to playing Captain Hook and showing off my evil side. I make my first entrance on a life-size galleon that sails around the stage in front of an amazing water-wall fountain."

The cast of fifty includes a dozen cirque performers, dazzling aerial stunts, a giant battle where the audience throws cannon balls at Hook's ship, and a death-defying escape from a locked water tank by rising comedy star Jordan Conway playing Peter Pan, plus a large troupe of Irish and Highland dancers.
