Nottingham Carnival to return to Victoria Embankment this summer with live music, fairground rides and stalls
The date for this year’s Nottingham Carnival has been confirmed, with the family-friendly event returning to the Victoria Embankment later this summer.
The vibrant procession will begin at 2pm on Sunday, August 18, with members of the public encouraged to head down and line the route.

Hide AdAs in previous years, the parade route will start on the Victoria Embankment, head up Wilford Grove, Felton Road and Green Street before making its way back down to the Embankment via Bunbury Street.

Participants will return to the carnival site via Wilford Grove, where they will perform on the dedicated stage.
On the carnival park this year will be three music zones featuring an international headliner, live bands, and more than 20 DJs and sound systems.
As always, the music will include Soca, Reggae, Afro beat, Calypso, Salsa, RnB, Soul, Dancehall, Jungle, Grime, Baseline House.

Hide AdIn addition to the music, the Carnival site will offer trade stalls, global cuisine food stalls, licensed bars, and fairground rides for visitors to enjoy.
The event will end at 8pm.
While the parade is free to watch at any point along the route, entry to the carnival site is priced at £5 for adults in advance or £7 on the door.
Children under 12 go free.
