LaplandUK, Britain's most beloved Christmas immersive experience, is expanding to Manchester with tickets going on sale in 2025. Find out all the details.

Close your eyes and picture Lapland: a snowy world of Elven toymakers, frozen lakes and twinkling lights, the warming smell of gingerbread escaping from Mother Christmas’ kitchen. Then imagine that you could step through a magical portal to find such a world, right here in the UK.

Welcome to LaplandUK: Britain’s most beloved Christmas immersive experience. A four and a half hour theatre journey, which puts families at the very heart of the action, the event first opened in 2007. Eighteen years later, LaplandUK has become a British festive institution, welcoming over 1,000,000 guests into its Elven woodland, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, Sir Elton John and The Beckhams.

As word spread of the secret in the forest, so too did the demand for tickets, with 2024 witnessing a record breaking 300,000 people join the virtual waiting room, hoping to

book tickets for their family. Representing a total demand for 1.2 million tickets, the event sold out of the 160,000 available in less than 3 hours, in a ticket drop to rival Glastonbury.

In response to the overwhelming demand, for the first time in the event’s history, LaplandUK will open a second magical portal in 2025, doubling the opportunity for families to revel in elven wonder this Christmas. Marrying the scale and intricacy of film production with the vivid immersion of live theatre, LaplandManchester will join the original LaplandUK, with tickets to both shows going on sale on 31st March 2025.

Both LaplandUK Ascot and LaplandUK Manchester are based on six best-selling books, written by founders Mike and Alison Battle, and will offer guests an enchanting single day experience. Each will envelop families in the same breathtaking performances and interactive activities, including assisting the Toy Factory Elves to make a toy for Father Christmas’ Sleigh, decorating gingerbread with Mother Christmas, ice-skating on the frozen pond, and the magical finale: an intimate and personalised encounter with Father Christmas.

In total, 350,000 tickets will be available. From 10am, guests will be able to enter the virtual waiting room via LaplandUK’s own ticketing platform. Each guest will then select which show they wish to attend. At midday, each guest will be allocated a random place in the queue for the show they have selected. Once they reach position one, they will have the opportunity to select their preferred date and number of tickets.

LaplandUK will run from 8th November to 24th December 2025, with tickets ranging from £60 to £195, with more premium prices for weekends, and those closer to Christmas Eve. Once tickets have been successfully purchased, guests will receive an email confirmation, followed by freezable personalised invitations which will arrive by post before their visit.

Both LaplandUK Ascot and LaplandUK Manchester offer taxi drop-off and free parking available on site.
