If you’ve been with someone for a while it can be difficult to come up with original Valentine’s Day ideas. 

On a day when many restaurants take advantage of loved-up couples by doubling their prices, it’s easy to fall into the trap of paying over the odds just for the sake of it.

But if you think outside the box you’ll realise that loads of romantic Valentine’s Day activities don’t break the bank.

We’ve been doing some digging and found a Valentine’s Day experience just outside Nottingham that we know you and your special someone will love. 

Each year Belvoir Castle, about 40 minutes east of Nottingham, runs a handful of snowdrop walks around Valentine’s Day. 

The walks, led by the estate’s Head Gardener, take visitors around the castle’s stunning snowdrop areas.

Snowdrops are always a powerful reminder that Spring is not far away - and you might even spot some daffodils too!

Against the backdrop of Belvoir Castle you’ll be able to capture some Insta-worthy photos amongst the snowdrops, ensuring that the memories of Valentine’s Day 2024 are not forgotten. 

This year’s snowdrop walks will begin on Saturday, February 12.
