We’re now approaching the halfway point of summer 2025, with the start of the school holidays just a couple of weeks away.
There are plenty of brilliant events happening in Nottinghamshire over the next couple of months, including festivals and markets.
The school holidays can be difficult for parents to keep their children occupied, but with so many family-friendly events happening in July and August, boredom won’t be a problem.
Some events, such as Nottingham Beach, are free to attend, while others require a small fee.

1. Nottingham Beach - July 16 to September 1

2. Nottingham Riverside Festival - August 1 to August 3

3. Splendour Festival - July 19 to July 20
Splendour Festival will return to Wollaton Park later this month after a year's absence. The festival will be headlined by Bloc Party, the Kaiser Chiefs and Jake Bugg. 4. Gloworm Festival - August 8 to August 10
The biggest dedicated family festival in the UK is returning to Thoresby Park this August.
