Hide AdHead coach, Peter Moores, said: “It is great to add a player of Will’s quality to our batting group, and his experience as an international top-three batter will add stability to our lineup.”
Young has played one Test for the Blackcaps at Trent Bridge, proving his international class by compiling scores of 56 and 47 in the thrilling 2022 encounter with England.
Moores added: “We are all aware of the importance of the next three fixtures, starting against the champions at the Oval. Will’s previous experiences in the Championship mean that he knows what to expect, and he has shown that his game is suited to being successful in English conditions.”
“He comes with strong recommendations both as a player and as a bloke, so we’re very excited to have him with us for the next few weeks.”
