Hide AdBoth Mary Earps and Stuart Broad have links to Nottingham. Mary started her football career in Nottingham Forest's youth academy before making the switch to Leicester City in 2010.
Stuart began his professional career at Leicestershire; in 2008 he transferred to Nottinghamshire, the county of his birth and the team for which his father played. In August 2006 he was voted the Cricket Writers' Club Young Cricketer of the Year.
Mary Earps or Stuart Broad will win Sports Personality of the Year, and they both got Forest links! So first or second place for either would be a win-win! #nffc

The Athletic has cited her as a "goalkeeper, brand, and icon" ahead of tonight's award ceremony. The sports journalism site also went on to describe her as "the Lionesses' moral compass and the best goalkeeper in the world".
Whichever way it goes tonight we're wishing both our sporting stars heaps of good luck! They are doing us and the county proud.
