Nottingham Forest and Notts County have confirmed a derby date for this summer.
The two have not faced off frequently in recent years, with Forest enjoying significantly better fortunes over recent years, achieving promotion while Notts County were forced to deal with a relegation out of the EFL. But County have changed their fortunes this season, despite the fact they racked up more than 100 points only to miss out on automatic promotion from the National League.

Meanwhile, Forest put together a late run of form to secure Premier League safety in their first season back in the top flight for more than two decades. Forest will once again play Premier League football next season, while County will be in League Two, and based on last season’s form, they might fancy themselves to challenge for back-to-back promotions.
As both teams put together plans for their summer preparations, they have come together to agree a friendly clash at Meadow Lane. Pre-season for both teams will likely begin in late June or the start of July, while the bulk of friendlies will be played in the second half of July.
Fans will already be looking forward to the return of football, and they now have a derby to look forward to on July 15, with County and Forest facing off at Meadow Lane.
