Filippo would like to place on record his thanks to the Club and wishes Nottingham Forest best of luck for the future.”

Giraldi joined the club in October, having formerly held roles at AC prato, Brescia and Watford. He is said to be responsible for bringing Richarlison to the Premier League and joined the club after Forest’s 4-0 loss to Leicester at The King Power Stadium.

Since his arrival, Forest have signed the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Chris Wood and Felipe in an attempt to bolster the injury hit squad’s chances of promotion.

But following their 2-0 loss to Aston Villa at the weekend, The Reds find themselves in the relegation zone for the first time since January.

This statement comes days after Evangelos Marinakis released a statement publicly backing Steve Cooper.
